Frequently asked questions
Is the kitchen pork-free?
Yes, completely. Roman dishes that traditionally use guanciale or pancetta are made with smoked beef cheek and veal bresaola, cured and smoked for us.
Do you have vegetarian and vegan dishes?
Plenty. They are marked V and VG on every menu, our pizza dough is vegan, and gluten-free pasta is available with most sauces.
Do you serve alcohol?
Casa Velluto is a licensed venue with a short Italian cocktail and wine list, served to guests aged 21 and over. Every cocktail has an alcohol-free twin, and our zero-proof list is just as long.
Can I bring children?
Of course. We have high chairs, and the kitchen happily makes small plates of pasta or a half pizza.
Is there parking?
Valet parking is available at the entrance from 18:00. During lunch there is street parking along the beach road.
Is there a dress code?
Smart casual. Beachwear is best kept for the beach.
How far ahead should I book?
For Thursday to Saturday evenings, about a week. Lunches and weekday dinners are usually fine a day or two ahead, and the bar keeps seats for walk-ins.
Can you handle allergies?
Tell us when you book and again when you order. Our kitchen handles gluten, nuts and dairy, so we cannot promise a trace-free plate — but we will always tell you honestly what is safe.
